The Obesity & Metabolic Liver Clinic focuses on patients where excess weight, insulin resistance, or metabolic syndrome are driving liver disease — recognising that obesity management and liver care need to be addressed together, not separately.
Who this clinic is for
Patients with obesity and abnormal liver tests, fatty liver with metabolic syndrome, or those being considered for medical or surgical weight-management options who need hepatology input before or during that process.
What we assess
Metabolic and hepatic risk profiling, liver fibrosis staging, screening for diabetes and cardiovascular risk factors, and suitability assessment for pharmacological weight-management therapy in the context of liver disease.
Treatment approach
Structured, multidisciplinary plans combining nutrition, physical activity guidance, and pharmacotherapy (including GLP-1/GIP-based agents where appropriate), with liver-specific monitoring throughout.
OPD: Tuesday, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
