The Mumbai Liver Clinic is Dr. Chetan Kalal’s general hepatology OPD — the first point of contact for anyone with a new or undiagnosed liver problem, abnormal liver tests, or a query about any liver condition. Patients needing a specific specialty pathway (fatty liver, alcohol-related disease, ACLF/ALF, autoimmune disease, liver cancer, or transplant) are triaged into the relevant specialty liver clinic from here.
Who this clinic is for
Patients with abnormal liver function tests found on routine testing, an incidental finding on ultrasound or scan, unexplained jaundice or abdominal symptoms, or anyone seeking a general hepatology consultation or second opinion before a specific diagnosis is established.
What happens at your first visit
A detailed clinical history and examination, review of existing reports, and a plan for any further investigation needed — blood work, imaging, elastography, or endoscopy — followed by referral into the appropriate specialty clinic if a specific condition is identified.
OPD: Monday, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
