The Alcohol-Related Liver Disease (ALD) Clinic provides confidential, judgement-free assessment and treatment for patients across the spectrum of alcohol-related liver injury — from early fatty change to alcoholic hepatitis and cirrhosis.
Who this clinic is for
Patients with a history of alcohol use presenting with abnormal liver tests, jaundice, suspected alcoholic hepatitis, or established cirrhosis, as well as those seeking support for abstinence alongside liver care.
Diagnostic workup offered
Severity scoring for alcoholic hepatitis, assessment for decompensation, fibrosis/cirrhosis staging, and nutritional assessment — a recognised area of vulnerability in this patient group.
Treatment approach
Medical management of acute alcoholic hepatitis where indicated, nutritional rehabilitation, structured support for abstinence (with referral for de-addiction support where needed), and long-term surveillance for cirrhosis-related complications including liver cancer.
OPD: Wednesday, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
